'Tis the season. I hope you are having a merry one. Let's roll my current favorite holiday song videos. What are yours?
The Dollyrots: Because I'm Santa -- because it's a hoot and now I have this wonderful mental image of Santa kicking a hole through a red brick chimney, which really works for me.
The Dollyrots: Let's Turkey Trot. Because I have a robot kicking like a holiday fiend in it : )
Faith and The Muse: A WInter Wassail. This is from A Dark Noel, an odd, fascinating Christmas album I found a few years ago and love. Highly recommended, especially if you like your Carol of The Bells with a bit of an edge.
Wham: Last Christmas. The younger little brother's favorite song. One Christmas, I made him a cd with the song loaded up 13 times. It's his favorite Christmas album ; )
And my favorite modern pop happy holiday song. Paul McCartney does cheerful so darn well.
And if you're looking for a last minute Christmas present for someone who likes e-reading, loves mysteries with a bit of romance and charm and likes a mix of characters both gay and straight, try In The Bleak December. I wrote a book I wanted to read after too many depressing, limited literary experiences. And I had some fun channelling the style of Edgar Allan Poe. It's appropriate for teens as well.
Have a very Merry Christmas! Thanks for stopping by.
