Well, as you might be aware, Gomez is one of TK's inspirations. And since they're based in the UK, I wasn't really watching for concerts here...and so they snuck one in on me, zinging through the East Coast from SXSW and stopped in Lancaster Friday night. Yes, the same Friday night Jeremy asked us to film Red Sea Radio opening the Radiation Festival at the Lingerie Room. So, that was a little sad/annoying/frustrating/etc(although we were glad to help out Jeremy -- one step closer to the music video I dream of doing), but then I discovered Gomez on Twitter and had a fun Thursday/Friday playing with them -- and they played right back, actually going so far as to follow our favorite crazy crushing band -- you should too; they strive to be entertaining. Of course, TK is over the moon and has been talking of nothing but Gomez since early Thursday (Girl Shaped Love Drug currently playing in my right ear) and trying to figure out how to make me find time to FlipBoom a plot to "borrow" Jimmy Fallon so TK can sit in and ask Gomez some off the rim questions (or at least introduce them to DogFish Head beer) but alas there is the Jobot trilogy and a play (Moliere's The Miser) to start rehearsing (I'm having a bit of a meltdown over time commitments right and exactly now). Oh, and getting short film DVDs into the mail to a film festival that's waiving fees for us. And rescoring and reediting LONELY POND MONSTER (looking for love). And feeling under the weather for a couple of days. And catching up on my e-mail. And being addicted to Mafia Wars on Facebook. And writing blog posts about getting grumpy about not writing and other people(it's always other people). And surprise hail and a tornado warning -- sounds like a fun weekend, eh?
